What a year it has been in sports. Here at IMG we are proud of all of our athletes, broadcasters and overall talent that we represent. Tonight is the night where all fans get to vote on their favorite player, play, male or female, team or individual for the honor of an ESPY award. To say the least, IMG is far from short from having their talent being represented later tonight.
Players such as Peyton Manning, Henrik Lundqvist, Maria Sharapova, Li Na and Novak Djokovic are representing their sport and IMG at the highest level. The title, “Best Player,” in their respective sport, is obviously such an honor, but these five individuals are all on the same team: IMG. All of their hard work, commitment and dedication to the game is what has driven them to become the best at what they do, and IMG is honored to put their name behind these extraordinary athletes.
The list of talent that will be represented tonight does not stop at the players performing at the highest level. IMG’s talent is on full display even when one of our own is not up for an award. Tonight, the ESPY nominated play of the year, Damian Lillard’s buzzer beater, was called by IMG’s Mike Tirico. One of the best endings to an NBA playoff series and Mike delivered it to perfection. “OH MY GOD, GOOD!!!” This will always be remembered by NBA fans, as true passion and love for the game breaks through as Mike stays focused on the job at hand.
